MZIMKULU VULTURE HIDE

How to make a booking?

Kindly note it is essential to book at least 48 hours in advance before visiting the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide. Bookings can be made via email: vulture@wildlifeact.com.

 

• Entrance fees for four hours: R300 per person, R150 for children 16 and under (*kindly note that children under 6 cannot be accommodated at the hide).

• Rate for exclusive booking out of the hide for the day: R1500

 

Kindly note that the Hide can accommodate a maximum of six visitors at a time. Bookings may be limited to reduce disturbance to the Vulture Safe Feeding Site, so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

There is an on-site lavatory available next to the parking space. Remember to bring your own provisions, as none are available on-site. We ask that visitors be respectful of the space at all times by tidying up after themselves and keeping volumes to a minimum to prevent disturbing the birds.

Directions to the Hide:

​

Pass straight through Underberg via the R617 in the direction of the Underberg Country Club, and travel for a further 3km. Cross over the Umzimkulu River and 500m further on turn right at the Bushman's Nek sign. Drive straight for 2.9km until you see the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide sign on the gate to your right.
